With the advent of HTML5 we have been blessed with a lot of cool stuff but we also have been cursed with a lot of ambiguous rules regarding semantic markup. I feel like a lawyer when students ask me questions regarding when and when not to use the new HTML5 tags. They want a yes or no answer and there just aren’t too many with HTML5. Everything is grey and everything depends on the circumstances. There are few ‘right’ answers.
With that in mind, this blog post points to a great article that tells you when you should and should not use the new <section> tag.
Kudos to the author who took on a hard topic to explain and he did a masterful job.
