Screencast: Part 7: Turning our WordPress into a Blog

What good is WordPress if we are just working with static HTML content. We need dynamic content that we can change on the fly and our page will be updated. Well, the reason WordPress was created was for this exact reason. In this screencast we’ll dive into the WordPress Loop which makes all the magic stuff happen. We’ll also turn our dynamic content into a working Blog. This is possible because of Posts. We can add as many as we want and WordPress will keep track of them all (by inserting them into the database) and spit them back at us when we go to the home page.

Super simple loop for index.php

get_header();
if (have_posts()) :
while (have_posts()) :
the_post();
the_content();
endwhile;
endif;
get_footer();
?>
[/prettify]
